Sylvia Wiebe was raised on a farm in Northern Saskatchewan.  It was a mixed farming operation supported by hard work, grain and livestock.  The livestock included pigs, cattle, chickens and of course the pets; mostly dogs and cats with the occasional rabbit.

As Dr. Wiebe, she graduated from vet school in 1989 and has been practicing veterinary medicine ever since.  She owns her own practice, doing large animal ambulatory and small animal house calls.  In addition to this she has done considerable research and study of medicines.  She has added to her repertory of knowledge, not only conventional, but also alternative medicines for human and animal needs.

Dr. Wiebe, along with her husband, Harold, have a cow-calf operation in Southern Saskatchewan.  They also raise a few running quarter-horses.  There is one farm dog named Zip and about 10 cats.
